Appointed as Chair of ERIC’s Board of Trustees in October 2023, Wendy is a Chartered Marketer who has held mid to senior commercial management roles within a variety of organisations including NHS Shared Business Services, which negotiates procurement contracts and provides outsourced services to around half of all NHS Trusts; BHR Biosynex, LumiraDx, and PremaLabs Diagnostics, manufacturers/distributors and disruptors in the global point-of-care diagnostics market; British Standards Institution in the training, testing, assessment and certification business unit; and Essity, which has contracts with over 60% of NHS Trusts to provide incontinence, woundcare, vascular and orthopaedic products.

Wendy is also grateful to have a wealth of life experience and is never phased by a challenge. Over the course of Wendy’s career and in her personal life she has heard too many stories of children and young adults who didn’t get the support they needed with incontinence issues, which had a long-term negative impact on their lives. She strongly believes in the need for education and help in relation to bladder and bowel conditions from birth through to teenage years and is proud of the immensely valuable work that ERIC does to counter that, providing much-needed training for professionals and assistance and guidance for families.
