Our new Chair of the Board of Trustees

We are delighted to announce our new Chair of the Board of Trustees

We are delighted to announce that Wendy Thompson has been appointed as our new Chair of ERIC’s Board of Trustees. Wendy has supported ERIC as a Trustee for over two years.

On her appointment as Chair, Wendy said: “I am humbled to follow in the footsteps of Lorna Montgomery, who has provided exceptional leadership and guidance over the past 20 years. As she hands over the baton, the charity is well-positioned to meet the needs of children, young people and their caregivers for many years to come.”

Why did Wendy originally join ERIC? She said: “I strongly believe in the need for education and help in relation to bladder and bowel conditions from birth through to teenage years. We hear too many stories of people who didn’t get the support they needed, which has had a long-term negative impact on their lives. The work that ERIC does to counter that, providing much-needed training for professionals and assistance and guidance for families, is immensely valuable.”

Wendy continued: “ERIC is an extremely professional and well-run charity made up of wonderful people, led solidly by our CEO Juliette Rayner and our experienced team of Trustees. Collectively, we are passionate about making a difference to children, young people and their families who need our support and I am proud to have been appointed as the Chair of the Board of Trustees.”

We look forward to welcoming Wendy in this exciting new step.

Of course, this change also means that we will be saying goodbye to our former Chair of Trustees, Lorna Montgomery. Lorna has been a valuable part of ERIC for 20 years and has made a huge impact on our charity and the families we help.

From everyone ERIC, we would like to say a big thank you to Lorna for her commitment and the passion that she brought to the role.
