Trusts and foundations
We are very grateful to the Charitable Trusts and Foundations that support families caring for children and young people with bowel and bladder conditions or disabilities across the UK to find the help, advice and emotional support they need through ERIC. Philanthropic support is vital to enable us to provide family support, develop new resources, increase access and our reach to help many more children, young people and families.
Each trust and foundation supporter makes such a difference, and we love reporting on the impact of each grant and donation to ensure that trustees understand how their support has helped to change lives in their local communities or across the UK. We provide prompt reports tailored for each trust or foundation, and are always delighted to share recent feedback and case studies from families such as these inspiring stories.
On behalf of all the families we support, thank you to all our trusts and foundation partners, including:
Family Support Service
Thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund, Masonic Charitable Foundation and the St James's Place Charitable Foundation for the multi-year funding to support the growth and development of our essential support service to ensure that families can access clinically correct information and advice, tailored to their needs. We are also very grateful to the following trusts and foundations, which have recently donated to the Family Support Service: the Card Factory Foundation, Spielman Charitable Trust, Christopher Laing Foundation, Marsh Charitable Trust, Bartle Family Charitable Trust, Edward and Dorothy Cadbury Trust, Michael Cornish Charitable Trust, Emerton Christie Charity, Hospital Saturday Fund, Sir James Knott Trust, Lawson Trust, MVM Charitable Trust, Basil Samuel Charitable Trust, and Verdon-Smith Family Charitable Trust.
Translations
Thank you to the Hobson Charity and the Boots Charitable Trust for funding translations of the most popular ERIC factsheets into community languages, all available on this page.
Let’s Go Potty pilot early years project in Bristol
Thank you to the Burges Salmon Charitable Trust, John James Bristol Foundation, and the Society of Merchant Venturers for their support to develop new Let’s Go Potty eLearning videos and animations for parents and carers across Bristol, building on the work we’ve been doing with early years settings and Bristol City Council.
Young Champions
Thank you to the James Tudor Foundation for the grants that enabled ERIC to work with young people and teenagers with lived experience of bowel and bladder conditions to co-create resources and improve our services for this age group, and to develop a survey of young people in secondary schools to find out their thoughts on good bladder and bowel health in schools. The survey findings were published in our Voices for Change Report.
Trusted advisors

ERIC has been awarded the PIF TICK – the UK’s only assessed quality mark for print and online health and care information.
To become a ‘trusted information creator’, ERIC had to undergo an assessment showing it met 10 key criteria.
This means you can be assured that what you are reading, watching or listening to is evidence-based, understandable, jargon-free, up-to-date and produced to the best possible standard.
We have also achieved the Helplines Standard certification in recognition of the high standard of support offered to families via our helpline.
The Helplines Standard demonstrates our commitment to delivering consistent, effective, and relevant services to its stakeholders. This national accreditation recognises best practices and ensures that helplines are meeting the needs of service users, staff, funders, and everyone who comes into contact with the service.
