ERIC recertified by PIF as ‘trusted information creator’ for second year

For a second year, ERIC has been awarded the PIF TICK – the UK’s only assessed quality mark for print and online health and care information.
We are delighted to announce that ERIC passed their 2026 assessment to become a ‘trusted information creator’ for the second year running, under the Patient Information Forum.
To renew their PIF certification as a ‘trusted information creator’, ERIC had to undergo their yearly assessment showing it met 10 key criteria.
This means you can be assured that what you are reading, watching or listening to is evidence-based, understandable, jargon-free, up-to-date and produced to the best possible standard.
The PIF TICK, which launched in May 2020, is run by the non-profit Patient Information Forum (PIF).
In July 2021, a public website, www.piftick.org.uk, was launched to raise awareness of PIF TICK accredited members and help people find trusted health information.
The site also includes guides on topics including spotting false health information and understanding evidence.
ERIC’s commitment
ERIC first gained the PIF TICK certification in 2025 and has now been recertified for a second year. Continued certification demonstrates ERIC’s commitment to the provision of high-quality health information.
Siân Wicks, CEO of ERIC, says: “Being certified for another year by PIF is another great achievement for ERIC. It shows our users – families, healthcare professionals and early years workers – that we are a trusted source of health information, with strong processes in place for developing our resources.
We are proud of our high standards of working at ERIC, and pleased that this is recognised through our PIF certification – for the second year in a row.
We look forward to creating even more trusted information resources to help children and their families.”
