President

I’m the lead consultant in charge of the Children’s Bladder Clinic at the Evelina Children’s Hospital (Guy’s and St Thomas’). I work closely with the Nephro-Urology and Paediatric Neurology departments covering the full spectrum of bladder disorders from severe resistant enuresis to neuropathic bladders.

I’m responsible for paediatric urodynamic investigation within the service. I also work closely with gastroenterology colleagues to manage children with joint bladder and bowel dysfunction.

I work one day a week in the community in Southwark with responsibility for the bladder and bowel clinic, as well as physical and learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders (autistic spectrum disorders, ADHD) and child protection.

Nationally, I’m a member of the clinical guideline group for the NICE guidelines on enuresis and chaired ERIC’s Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) for nine years. Internationally, I sit on the Board of the International Children’s Continence Society.

I was appointed President of ERIC in January 2018. I’m delighted to be able to continue to work with ERIC, an organisation I hold in high esteem which achieves so much for children with continence issues in the UK and indeed the rest of the world.
